The night before the holiday.
All ready for our travels tomorrow. The bags are packed. We have already had two early Xmas dinners...one for the Murrays and one for the Vernons. We have also made a strategic decision not to send any Christmas cards this year so if you are upset not to get a card this year, then it's tough!
I am trying to brush up on my Aussie slang whilst we are away and will try and pass on the quirky meanings in the blog. I think there could be a rich vein of nonsense to be had by working out the difference between a divvy, a drongo, a drag and a banana bender!
We will also be looking out for Australian wildlife. Here is the closest thing I could manage before we set off.
Tomorrow is all travelling. Taxi to the train station, train to the airport, flying to Dubai and then on to Hong Kong. We will probably be jet lagged but hey ho off we go!
